Part 1 focuses on different aspects of agility, from the hard skills (writing user stories, a scalable agile framework) to the softer side (expanding your thinking, effective retrospectives). We also talk about basic business analysis and stakeholder management resources.

Diversity, Equity And Inclusion

Early in his career, Edward Hyland put a lot of effort into learning how to create useful user stories. In the presentation, he suggested thinking about the context that is often missed before writing the following user stories:

Daniel Mishkov from BAE Systems Applied Intelligence talked us through the basics of a scalable agile framework, how business analysts can take on the responsibilities of a product owner as part of the SAFe Increments program (and when is the best time to take time off).

Short retrospectives are a great way to help teams bond, brainstorm and identify process improvements. This book takes you through a process with many different steps, from helping to set the stage, gathering data and understanding, to deciding what to do.

The book also covers how to conduct retrospectives and identify and manage team behaviors that can hinder successful outcomes; for example, flashbacks are fun, but sometimes laughter is used to distract from a sensitive topic – try: β€œI’ve noticed that every time we approach this topic, someone tells a joke. What’s going on?”

The paper provides an overview of the current and expected prospects for the development of artificial intelligence algorithms, especially in military applications, and research conducted in relation to civilian applications. The main focus was on the use of artificial intelligence algorithms in cyber security, object detection, military logistics and robotics. It discusses the challenges associated with today’s solutions and how artificial intelligence can help solve them. It also briefly presents the mathematical frameworks and descriptions for ART, CNN, and SVM networks, as well as the expectation-maximization algorithms and Gaussian mixture models used in solving the problems discussed. The third section examines public attitudes toward the use of neural network algorithms for military purposes. The main issues related to the ethics of the application of artificial intelligence and the issues of liability for errors made by autonomous systems are discussed.

One of the main pillars that determines the state’s position in the international arena is its military potential. As defined by the US Department of Defense, military capability means [1] “the ability to achieve a specified wartime objective (win a war or battle, destroy a set of targets)”. Military capability is defined by structure, modernization, readiness and resilience. The level of modernization depends mainly on the technical complexity, weapon systems and equipment.

The typical war known since World War II is slowly disappearing into oblivion and into virtual space. As research shows [2], hacker attacks on both private companies and government institutions have become a common phenomenon. According to researchers [3, 4], artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative automatic systems will become an integral element of future armed conflicts.

Most of the current artificial intelligence algorithms require large amounts of data [5], such as artificial intelligence algorithms for natural language processing [6]. They can work better, faster and more efficiently, but they cannot work well without access to large databases. Access to vast sources of data and increased computing power of machines have contributed to the development of this field of science. Currently, interest in the use of neural networks is still growing, which can be observed by analyzing scientific publications on various topics in the last few years β€” development of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) [7, 8], forecasting and assessment of atmospheric phenomena [9] . , 10, 11], distinguish informative tweets (containing relevant facts) from non-informative ones (containing rumors or non-detailed information) [12] and predict the dynamics of currency markets [13] and the real estate market [14]. In the military sector, artificial intelligence algorithms can be used, among others, for speech recognition systems [15] or object detection and recognition [16].

Artificial intelligence has a wide range of applications, leading to its enormous and multifaceted impact on society. In recent years, AI has taken part in the creation of new standards of social behavior, interpersonal contacts, and even the politics and functioning of the state, as the authors write in [17, 18, 19]. New technologies offer hope, but also fear, which is discussed in more detail later in this article. The remainder of the paper is organized as follows: Chapter 2 presents the methodology used; Chapter 3 examines application examples based on the use of artificial intelligence in the military; Chapter 4 focuses on the state impact of using these algorithms in the military
